Whiplash Associated Disorder (WAD) is a complex condition resulting from the rapid acceleration-deceleration forces commonly experienced in motor vehicle accidents, sports injuries, or other traumatic events. Primarily affecting the cervical spine, WAD encompasses a range of symptoms that can persist long after the initial injury sharing many characteristics with concussion.
