Welcome to Headfirst: A Concussion Podcast. In this episode we discuss the biomechanics of concussion, whilst also exploring the possible differences between men and women when returning to play with Dr  Jaclyn Caccese.

Dr. Caccese earned a degree in bioengineering from the University of Delaware, followed by a master's in biomechanics and movement science, culminating in a PhD. With an extensive academic background, Dr. Caccese has contributed significantly to the field with over 100 publications and 1300 citations by peers. Dr. Caccese’s expertise has been showcased at numerous conferences, notably the 6th International Consensus Conference on Concussion in Sports. Furthermore, Dr. Caccese's achievements include receiving the 2022 American College of Sports Medicine New Investigator Award and the 2023 Fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine Award.
